However much time and effort you put into developing your plant systems, technical ownership of the control system can often seem a distant ideal. NEPS Africa is committed to providing the necessary training that you require, at all levels, to realise technical ownership. With the appropriate training, you will be able to see, understand and maximise the full potential from your system.
SYSTEM TRAINING
A system supplied may need several levels of understanding passed on to those that have to use the system, maintain it and further develop it.
It is essential that an appropriate level of training is offered with the system. This includes;
Training for operators, who may require practical instruction on how to use the system on a day to day basis and who may not require any in-depth understanding of how the system works, configuration methods, etc.
Training for maintenance staff, who will need to know how to use the system, but also need to understand how the system works, how to perform routine maintenance and how to diagnose problems and implement solutions. This may include a level of configuration training.
Training for development engineers, who need to know how to use the system, how it works, and be able to reconfigure part or all of the system in terms of both hardware and software.
And any combination or variation in between!
Because each client has a different system and therefore different training requirements, standard system training -courses are not always the ideal solution. We will tailor courses to your requirements, so that you get maximum benefit from the time you invest.
Product Training
We run some general product courses for both those that use or are considering using these products
All training courses can be run on-site or at a local venue.
Modify & Learn / Bulld & Learn Sessions
Want to kill two birds with one stone?
NEPS Africa offers some extremely flexible options to learn-as-you-do :-
Modify & Learn
This is a dual-purpose session where the client working with an NEPS Africa support engineer modifies a controller or system. This is a real “hands-on” session where the client will have the opportunity to learn how to make the changes required on their system/plant, learn how to use the configuration tools whilst actually making those modifications required on the plant. This can be an incredibly cost effective way to proceed.
Build & Learn
Even producing a new system can be achieved this way. A simple, quick and very cost effective solution – especially effective for creating SCADA systems or configurable HMIs. Here the client would experience every stage of the development of the system.
